I want to be able to listen more often, with all the body
By being present and listen to someone you're doing a favour to yourself, because you're listening to yourself.
Strange how we need permission to share with people we don't know, to be, to slow down.
In our kick-off session, we introduced the Cosensing Lab and Social Arts, and brought participants through different ways of listening to one another.
Each student/staff/participant brought their question into the space, and we went through a series of practices: 25 movements to warm up the body, a moment of embodied mindfulness as we re-learned the art of raising an arm, and then co-sensing the space walking and listening with our partners before going into a reflective practice. We closed off with a simple poem dance that led to laughter, and warm pizzas closed the night.
